Attack of the 45 Inch 4 year old!


Erik had his 4 year check up today... yes I know, about 3 months late. It reestablished what everyone points out. My son is tall. Freakishly tall. His height is off the growth chart for a child his age. And not just slightly off, WAY off. And that measurement of 45 inches may be short changing him a bit since he wasn't standing his tallest when the nurse measured him. According to the growth chart, Erik is the average height for a 6 year old boy. A first-grader! At only 4 years of age, Erik can sometimes out-eat Chad and myself. I fear his teenage years. We may have to take out a second mortgage just for groceries! I remember how much my brother ate during those formidable years (General Mills made a fortune off of him and his Trix cereal consumption). We shall see.
