2 Months and Counting

Much progress has been made in the past month. Minister, photographer, and florist are all acquired. A new dress has been acquired as well. Of course, there's still much to do. We're working on our invitations right now. Oh, by the way, Katie, your little "book" with the directions and maps.... don't be surprised if something eerily similar appears in our invitation. As it gets closer, we've been getting a little quirky with some stuff, but it's a way for us to have fun. God knows I need it with all that's going on at work. (That's a whole other story if you haven't heard it already)

And now, cuz I just got back from work at 3am (inventory!) and my mind is crazy, here is a poem about sporks.

Sporkymandias:

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said-- "Two vast and tineless forks of stone
Stand near the desert (cart)... Near them, on the sand
Half sunk, a bowl-less spoon there lies, whose handle
And plastic lip, and smear of cold lentil soup,
Tell that its sculptor well those utensils knew
Which yet survive, stamped out in plastic thousands,
The hand that which held them and the heart they fed;

And on the serving cart, these words appear:
My name is Sporkymandias, Spoon of Spoons and Fork of Forks,
Look on my Sporks, ye hungry and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare,
The lone and empty fast-food tables stretch far away.

Not mine, I found it and I think it's hilarious. Then again, it's 3am and I find many things hilarious when I'm this fucking tired.

    I found it amusing as hell. It makes me want to write a spoof. But I'm too lazy. Darn.
