Soon the Move Will Be Complete

Chad's going to get our cats this weekend, and once Kyle and Wicket are here, the move will be official. Erik and I will be in GB and hopefully I can get some more organization underway.

This week I have been in charge of cooking dinner. I'm sure that when my grnadmother made the suggestion that she wasn't expecting me to be a decent cook. But, HA, I am! Tonight we're having some chicken and sausage gumbo. However, I'm a bit worried since the Andouille sausage I used to get in St. Cloud and the Andouille sausage I got here look and smell VERY different. We went to three different grocery stores before we even found any Andouille sausage, and what we found is what we bought, although I'm afraid it left me a bit disappointed. We'll find out exactly how disappointed I will be by about 6:30 tonight.

In the mean time, Chad and I have been gathering pictures to scan for a surprise digital slide show at my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, which is a little less than a month away. The hard part is keeping it a surprise and swiping pics from my grandparents room when they aren't home. Saturday night they'll be gone for a while so I should be able to do a bit more. All this covert ops stuff is hard, but we'll get it done in time. The only snag is finding equipment to actually project the images. I have to call my mom's cousin to find out how she did it when her parents had their big anniversary shindig a few years ago.

Sweet, dude. I still have to work on being a decent cook. Someday...I will be the master.

Glad you are getting all settled in OK. You can rent projectors for not too much...I think from like CompUSA or something. If that helps. I know where to do it here, but not there :(
