Going Under (Mack??) the Knife

So, I do need surgery. February 10th is the date. Fun.

Still no job yet. Had two interviews and I have two more to go this week. At least I'm getting more interviews, hopefully that's a good sign.

And although it's a day belated, Happy Birthday, Dude!

Problem (Possibly) Solved

So, for about 3 or 4 weeks now, I've been having pain in the upper-right quadrant of my abdomen, especially after I eat. First, my appendix was suspect, however, my appendix is just fine. Next, my doctor suspected my gallbladder, possibly gall stones. So they did an ultrasound of my gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen and kidneys. The only thing that turned up was a small cyst on my left kidney which is no big deal and, apparently, quite common. So, yesterday I went and had a gallbladder scan. Apparently, my gallbladder's functioning has deteriorated, and my doctor also mentioned the word "chronic". Right now, I'm waiting to schedule a consultation with the surgeon to see if he believes that it would be best for the organ to just come out. Since I've been dealing with this for a month now, I really don't care what needs to be done, just as long as it's fixed so I don't have to worry about how much pain I'm going to be in if I eat a piece of pizza. The upside: I've lost a few pounds.

Also, as far as the whole job thing goes, I have an interview tomorrow and another on Monday. Hopefully one of these will be fruitful. Of course, if I need surgery, that may throw a kink into the whole job search process for a short while.

Lost on the Rogue Isles

So I haven't updated in a while. So what? No big whoop. Wanna fight about it?

For Christmas, Chad and I got a comforter for our bed...finally! A king size navy microsuede and it is toasty. However, an even awesomer present was getting City of Villains. W00t! We got the software and 3 months of paid subscription time. It's $15 a month, so when we have to pony up for it ourselves it won't put a huge dent in our pockets. Of course, this game has caused some increased competition for the computer. So, when one is playing CoV, the other is most likely playing We Love Katamari

Perhaps someday I'll get around to posting a couple screen shots of our characters. The nice thing is that the character creation is so detailed that I have yet to run into anyone who looks even remotely like me. I highly recommend it to anyone willing to part with the money (i think it's a worthwhile investment) If you do happen to get swept into CoV, make sure to join the Victory server and we'll team up and like steal some presents from orphans and steal a hero's cape... or something.

And a job eludes Us still.
